卡塔尔世界杯是大力神杯,但是2018年的俄罗斯世界杯的奖杯,现在在世界杯的官网显示为“国际足联世界杯”(FIFA World Cup) 国际足联的官方解释如下 FIFA World Cup trophy “The winner of the competition receives a specially commissioned ‘World Champion’s Trophy’. The current design was unveiled in April 2013, following an international online vote (in French and Spanish) to select from among five designs submitted by leading designers around the world. In November that year, it was announced that the original design had been altered just prior to production so that the top of the new sculpture would be shaped like a soccer ball with the words 'world champion' engraved on the outer edge.
In March, 2014, a replica made of glass, porcelain, and gold-plated bronze was exhibited at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London for two months after opening there as part of its Designer Crafts series, marking one of six exhibits about football over four years. It has also toured several other cities including Paris, New York City, São Paulo, Melbourne, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Tokyo, Mumbai and Johannesburg. On July 7th 2014, it reached South Bend, Indiana where Notre Dame players visited it during their visit to Chicago. At that time, they were joined by US National Team member Geoff Cameron along with his brother Matt, who played collegiately for Notre Dame and is currently head coach of FC Cincinnati.
